Bananarama Smoothie Bowl
We went through a salad/nourish bowl phase, but now we are definitely in a smoothie bowl phase! Do you like smoothie bowls? Or do you prefer to drink your smoothie?
Either way, you can't argue that they're a tasty way to get in extra fruits and veggies! We popped some frozen zucchini into this recipe and it worked a treat. Simply wash, chop and freeze. It acts as a thickener, adds loads of vitamins and minerals and also a boost of fibre! We promise that you can't even taste it, but we have offered options to omit!
You will need:
- 1 + 1/2 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/2 frozen zucchini (trust us!! - or can omit for additional banana)
- 1/3 cup coconut yoghurt
- A pinch of vanilla
- 1/3 cup unsweetened coconut milk
And to decorate:
- Frozen berries
- Our own cinnamon home made granola
- Chia seeds
- Flaked almonds
- Cacao nibs
- A large dollop of black tahini
Combine frozen banana, strawberries, frozen zucchini, yoghurt, vanilla and coconut milk in a blender, until completely smooth, your smoothie will be nice and thick but you should be able to slide it out into a bowl.
Once it's nice and blended, simply pop into a bowl and decorate.
