Favourite Summer Breakfast: Choc - Berry Smoothie Bowl


Summer in Australia really is here. Meaning an abundance of heat, more heat and our favourite Summer fruit. Icy cold breakfast bowls quickly enter rotation and we had to share our recent favourite. High in fibre, vitamins and antioxidants, this smoothie not only tastes great, but is fantastic for digestion, skin health and is sure to keep you going all morning.

We like to use frozen fruit, to give the smoothie bowl a really thick and ice-cream like consistency. Yum! 

You will need:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 2 cups fresh spinach (or greens of choice)
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon mesquite powder
  • 1 tablespoon Mayvers choc spread
  • 1 serve of your favourite protein powder

What we usually do is put everything into a high powered blender and let it do its thing.

If needed, we occasionally do add extra almond milk. Blend until completely combined, pour into a bowl and get decorating, lets be honest, this is actually the best part of making smoothie bowls!

On top we added fresh strawberries, almond flakes, loads of cacao nibs, a serve of black chia seeds and raspberries. Yum!
